Now is a perfect time to visit Middleport Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent. Here you can see the last presentation of the poppies 'Weeping Window' until 16th September before it moves to its permanent home at the Imperial War Museum in London. It is a moving sight and is sure to make you stop and think about all those who lost their lives in the First World War.

While at Middleport Pottery it is worth taking the time for a tour of the pottery to learn about its history since 1889 and see how Burleigh pottery is made. Finish off with a wander through the factory shop and you might be tempted with a few beautiful pieces to take home.
